LITD ~ Lindsay Collette_0018

Today’s wedding is achingly beautiful. Kempton and Alana clearly adore one another and their loved ones and treated their guests to a sumptuous day {just wait till you read the food details} at the Monte Carlo Beach Club in Abu Dhabi.

It gives me such pleasure to share a day that is full of perfectly captured moments, quirky details and a bride that radiates sheer beauty.

The photography by Lindsay Collette is off the charts amazing and her write up is wonderfully eloquent ~ this is one talented lady. Lindsay adored her visit to the UAE and would return in a heartbeat so if you love her style then get in touch with her. For now, I’ll pass you over to Lindsay to describe the day,

Kempton and Alana are two high-energy, wildly ambitious, and beautifully successful people. Although both are UVA alumni, this isn’t your typical “college sweethearts” story. Their paths were crossed years after graduation; halfway across the globe.

Although this was a destination wedding for both the cinematography team and I, both Kempton and Alana reside in Dubai. They chose the Monte Carlo Beach Club for their wedding venue; a place that holds special meaning for them both. With it’s sweeping ocean views, and superb fine-dining, there really was no other choice. Throwing aside traditional wedding customs such as favors,  a buffet line, and tiered wedding cake, Kempton and Alana opted instead to treat their guests to a gourmet dining experience, overflowing glasses, and dancing into the early morning hours. Wait staff served a plated dinner from Chef Gavin Gleeson of beet & turnip salad with labnah mousse and lemon dressing, pan-seared scallop–shellside–with pumpkin tortellini and sage nut butter, and, finally, tenderloin of beef, foie gras, and sunchoke puree. To top it off, a dazzling Cipriani vanilla meringue cake! Late night shisha and Bambolini donuts from a Tunisian chef were served for guests requiring “MORE!”

Alana’s friend and bridal gown designer, Rami Al Ali, created a custom gown for her merely weeks before she walked down the aisle. Keeping her look classic and simple, Alana wore only Harvey Nichols earrings and her grandmother’s wedding ring.  Adding a punch of red were her Julie Jolie heels. Kempton, not unaccustomed to looking his best, paired his impeccably tailored suit with gorgeous slippers with hookah embroidery, and exquisite elephant shaped French cuff links.

The entire evening was a feast for my senses! I had never before experiences such a unique, tasteful wedding that was tailored to a couple so beautifully.
