LITD ~ Maria Sundin Photography_0008

I am incredibly excited to share today’s post. Back in May Maria Sundin and I organised a styled shoot off the coast of Yas Island in Abu Dhabi together with some of the UAE’s most brilliant wedding suppliers.

Not only did we have photographer Maria, we also had the very talented videographer Lamia Alami who edited the most beautiful video. Together Maria and Lamia have created a new service under Tales & Art which means you get the very best in photography and videography.

Both Maria and I wanted to bring a fine art quality to the shoot and filming started just as the sun started to dip.

Event duo extraordinaire Rasha and Mona from Fortuitous Events created two set ups: one formal using the dark navy, green and purple tones with silver accents which looked incredible against the rocky backdrop and the second had a much more relaxed vibe using pastel blue and white with an injection of coral to make it pop. The girls handmade many of the pieces, their crafty skills always ensure complete uniqueness which I love.

Both our bride and groom were kitted out in bespoke attire; Susannah Rachel’s backless lace dress had us all swooning all day and was complimented perfectly with Delvero’s suit.

The cake. Oh boy, just wait until you see the cake. Sarah and Soha from Gourmelicious did us proud and created what can only be described as a piece of art.

Issa from Antheia Flowers in Abu Dhabi stayed on set with us and was a brilliant addition to our team, this man is buzzing with enthusiasm for all things floral and has a wonderfully creative eye.

The tableware was sourced from Julie who runs the wedding registry gift list MyList AE and fitted perfectly with the look that we were aiming for.

Finally our hair and make up duo Diana and Mette were incredible and I’m sure you will agree that Kirsty looks absolutely stunning, and of course Antoine is devilishly handsome.

This really was a huge team effort and without sounding too much like a Gwyneth Paltrow acceptance speech, I just want to thank each and every one of you. Our vision came to life and it was absolutely amazing to work with wedding suppliers who have fresh ideas, bags of talent and a stylish approach. Ok, speech over.

So, onto the images…..enjoy folks.
