OUR TOP 10 POSTS OF 2015…

2015 has been a great year, there is no doubt about that. The content for the blog took a new direction with the addition of our wonderful contributors, introducing lifestyle posts and insights from local experts on top of the usual inspiration and real weddings.

2015 was also the year that I quit my day job and threw myself into building the brand of LITD full time. This encompasses the day to day running of the blog as well as officially calling myself ‘a stylist‘ {not something I ever dreamt would be possible a few years ago}. Through love for creativity, sheer determination and of course a dollop of perfectly timed introductions I have been so fortunate to style the the world of interiors, events and tabletops and work alongside some of the most amazing publications, designers and people.

As with any small business it has taken more hours of my weeks than I ever thought I would dedicate to a job, and there have been times when I have truly questioned if I’ve done the right thing in giving up a stable income. I’ve wobbled more times than I wish but those around me have helped pick me up and I will be ever grateful to the most wonderful man for his unconditional support. Most of 2015 has felt like I am incapable of even thinking about anything else, but of course when it’s your baby, how can you not? But when I hear that brides have used the blog for inspiration or when I think of the styling opportunities that have come my way in recent months, it does of course all become so very worth it.

A personal highlight was being photographed for Harpers Bazaar Interiors a few months ago which leads me nicely into the icing on the new venture cake, a tabletop rental business {cue jazz hands} If you follow me on instagram or know me personally then you may well have already heard me gush about plates, cutlery and cut crystal glass {if so, apologies} If not, I’ll save the details for the new year but suffice to say, I cannot wait to share the details of it with you lovely lot.

Before I ramble us into 2016 and all the feelings of rejuvenation, fresh starts, new goals, renewed determination that a new year entails….I thought a look back on 10 of the most popular posts of 2015 would be great way to wave goodbye to 2015 and turn with open arms to the ride that awaits us in 2016…
