There will forever be something so special for me about intimate weddings, it’s as if the emotion is compounded and everything is felt that much more keenly. Charlotte and Ben’s wedding is simply beyond beautiful with blush maids and dapper white groomsmen, whilst Charlotte wears a heavenly floral crown (you know my weakness for the floral crown), a stunning dress that I still scarcely believe is high-street and the pièce de résistance, the most beautiful pair of Jimmy Choos. All stunningly captured by the wonderful Abbi Kemp, I am extremely excited to share this wedding with you all today.

From Abbi, ‘My mother has always told me good things come in small packages. Now this is most certainly due to me being below average height and a mother’s need to make their child feel special at all times! However, I couldn’t help but remember this precious saying whilst photographing Ben and Charlotte’s wedding. Originally from England, Ben and Charlotte both decided to follow their love of travel and all things exotic and say I do here in Dubai. With just 8 of their closest friends at their side, the new Mr & Mrs Staerck shed tears of joy and smiled throughout their vows on a private beach at the Atlantis Hotel. It couldn’t have been more perfect!’

From the bride, Charlotte:

Tell us all about the proposal…
Ben proposed in Florence in May 2014. He took me to a traditional Italian restaurant then when we got back to our beautiful hotel he asked me to hold out my hands and placed a little blue Tiffany box into my hands. I then did Laps of the room screaming! Ha

When and what made you realise he was the One?
I realised Ben was the one when we went on a trip to Paris on the royal wedding weekend. I’ve never had so much fun with anyone and loved every second.

Where was your dress from?
My dress was just from Phase Eight, a high street store. At home I’ve done bridal modelling from being 19 so have worn thousands of wedding dresses so wasn’t too picky. My veil was from one of my bridesmaids, one of the other bridesmaids had worn it too so it was lovely to wear something we all shared.

What’s your favourite memory of the day?
I couldn’t pick one, the ceremony was perfect. So personal and amazing. The photographs show how much we loved the day, always smiling and laughing.
