Jive Events | Copper and Green Tablescape | Enchante Studios_0000

Today is a great day. Not only do we get to find out a little more about the ladies behind Jive Events but we also have the exclusive look at their latest styled shoot and it is b-e-a-u-tiful. Copper and green elements come together for a perfectly indulgent and distinctly modern affair. Fresh and contemporary with an industrial edge, what’s not to love about this set up?

So sit back, gaze at all the pretty and find out a little more about Katia and Zeina….

Tell us a little bit about yourselves…

Visuals by Abbi | Styled Shoot at Al Qudra Lakes | Lace in the Desert_0009

One of my greatest joys is teaming up with local Dubai talent and creating something just a little bit different. This shoot was one such collaboration. Whist romantic traditional weddings are beautiful, sometimes stepping away from the ‘wedding norm’ can be incredibly refreshing.

Together with Abbi Kemp we decided that we wanted to bring a tribal/bohemian vibe to this shoot and with the help of some rather fabulous vendors we were able to do just that.

Monica was our brilliant makeup artist who gave our bride Karina the perfect make up that really made her skin glow and some quirky braids as an homage to our tribal vibe.

Our gorgeously oversized bouquet was the work of Firenze Flora. The long trawling ivy gave all the drama we were hoping for.

Our first wedding dress was made by Dubai designer Susanna Rachel and the lace dress was an absolute steal from beloved high street store H&M. The shell necklaces and cuffs were all from Sloane Studio who have the most beautiful selection of accessories and bohemian goods.

Our table was put together by me using my (still kind of) new inventory and some handy DIY with an old palette.

As ever it was a wonderful team effort and my heartfelt thanks goes to each and every one….

Maria Sundin Photography_StyledShoot_LaceintheDesert_Marsala_web-24

Maria Sundin and I teamed up at the end of last year after many discussions our shared love for both the desert and deep indulgent hues. Clearly something needed to be done and so our next styled shoot was born…..

In celebration of my new tabletop rentals, I obviously wanted a major part of this shoot to be focussed around the beauty of entertaining. Everything was sourced from the inventory and I chose to focus on the intricate detail of the lace plates, the crystal glasses and gold highlights through the cutlery and antique candlesticks.

Tulipano came on board with her ethereal floral style that I adore and created the centrepieces and a bouquet that were all beyond my expectations. The mixture of plum coloured berries, purple florals and a more vibrant shade of pink was perfection. Plus she arranged a little collar for our gorgeous goat, who said florists are just for people…! The table was finished off with beautiful chairs from Mint Rentals and Persian Rugs from The Purple Chair.

Our extensive calligraphy stationery set was handwritten and the logo hand drawn by the amazing talent of The Fozzy Book. Both Maria and I adore her calligraphy style and it was wonderful to see our vision come to life as Fozzy created this suite not only to reflect our colour palette but also gave a nod to our Persian rugs in her artistry.

The dress was created especially for us by Beljour using the most beautiful French lace. Diana Mauer finished our bride’s look perfectly with natural make up and a chic up do and before changing it to a loose waves for a slightly different second look. Hairpieces from ANAQA complemented each look beautifully.

Jewellery from Vitrine Designs in rich plum colours reflected the colour tones we had chosen and were the perfect excuse to style alongside a deeply coveted The Mrs Box.

Finally this shoot would have been nothing without the team at Al Sahra Desert Resort; this stunning location is a world away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai and as you can see has some of the most swoon worthy backdrops.

Lace in the Desert {Enchante Studios} with Rasha from the Purple Chair_0005

The thing with having such wonderful vendors is that they take your breath away with the beauty that they create. I actually gasped when Sheryll of Enchante Studios shared these images with me. So simple, so elegant and oh so beautiful ~ this has Sheryll’s signature style all over it. If you’re late to Enchante Studios then you can read all about them in our introductory post but they focus on the beauty of female portrait photography.

This impromptu shoot involved a rather ghastly 5 am alarm for model (and wedding planner) Rasha from The Purple Chair but I am so pleased that she did it. That early morning light against Rasha’s hair is exactly why it’s worth the early morning shoot (take note in case your photographer ever suggests an early morning shoot…it is worth it!)

With florals from Royal Flowers and lace dress from Beljour, this shoot celebrates everything that Sheryll is about ~ the beauty of the individual.

Lace in the Desert {Desert Bridal Inspiration} Vicki Grafton and Rensche Mari Photography_0004

I was lucky enough to be ‘on set’ when film photographers Vicki Grafton and Rensche Mari created this shoot. Bringing with them 3 beautiful dresses from Shop Gossamer, they set about bringing a slither of fine art to the Dubai desert.

As a stylist it was incredibly interesting to watch film photographers at work, clicking on film is a much more costly way of capturing images and so absolutely everything was triple checked through the lens before clicking. I loved this level of precision.

This shoot is just beautiful and I am so pleased to be sharing it with you all….
