I hear all too often from brides in Dubai that it can be a real struggle to know where to go for so many items. So today I’m listing some of my recommended places to go to for bridal accessories, from veils to jewellery and of course my favourite accessory of all time, shoes.

20 ELEGANT JEWELLERY PIECES

Lace in the Desert {20 elegant bridal accessories}_0000

BHLDN: Left, Middle, Right

Finishing off your bridal look with the right pieces of jewellery can be a hard decision for brides. With so much choice and such a wide array of options it can be quite daunting. My advice is always to stay true to your personal style and choose pieces that suit you. I think often it’s all to0 easy to get bogged down in what is ‘bridal’. Forget ‘bridal’ and create a look that reflects you, you don’t want to look back on your wedding photography in years to come and not recognise yourself.

As with all accessories, less can be so much more. Choosing just one or two stand-out pieces can often finish your look perfectly.

With that in mind, I’ve scoured the web and picked out 20 pieces from earrings to headpieces that are timeless, elegant and most importantly absolutely beautiful….

ANAQA LOOKBOOK

LITD ~ Abbi Kemp Photography_0008

Last month I spent a very special afternoon at one of the most serene spots in Dubai, The Farm, to style a lookbook for up and coming headpiece designer Megan at ANAQA. Thanks to the photography genius of Abbi Kemp we’ve captured the botanical spirit that Megan was after.

If you’ve seen some of our previous styled shoots you may have already noticed the intricate designs that Megan creates. She offers a fully bespoke service for anyone looking for headpieces, be it bridal, for your bridesmaids or even just because you fancy one. Especially for this shoot she also created a jewelled bouquet which was stunning ~ this girl has got some serious grade A talent.

We borrowed two incredible dresses from Frost Boutique, the intricate detailing of the first dress worked perfectly with the appliqué lace detailing of the Naeem Khan dress and complimented the headpieces perfectly. Make up and hair artist Michelle Waldron finished off our model’s looks with soft natural makeup and absolutely gorgeous hair that she seemed to style incredibly effortlessly.

My flower hero Patrick from Flowers by Contempo created the most incredible flower frame that injected soft blues, pinks and creams to our vision. It truly was a piece of art.

The Farm was an incredible backdrop and gave us that ‘we’re not in Dubai’ feeling which I absolutely love. If you haven’t yet ventured out there then make time to do so ~ it’s as delicious as it is stunning and I was excited to learn that they also cater for private events as well.

I absolutely loved working on this project and I hope you all love the results as much as I do…..
