LITD ~ Elie Saab_0014

Elie Saab once again rolled out a bridal worthy couture collection for his Spring 2015 line. I realise that this may be above and beyond many of our price budgets but I do believe that his work is simply inspirational for anyone creating a bespoke dress with the likes of Susanna Rachel or Moirai Style.

Saab’s signature detailing shines throughout but he also managed to inject a new quality with the addition of the floral print. I adore this bold fabric and I hope it’s something we will see more of with Saab’s work.

LITD ~ Jenny Packham SS 2015_0001

Jenny Packham’s Spring Summer collection was debuted at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday and I love it so much that I just had to share it.

Paying homage to the iconic Marilyn Monroe, the collection featured  1950’s and 1960’s influenced silhouettes; from figure-hugging body-con wiggle dresses, to off the shoulder details, to full-skirted evening gowns. This is old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist.

Jenny’s signature detailing and feminine style weaves its way throughout the entire collection.

LITD ~ Soleil Boutique_0000

With summer well and truly on it’s way, I know that most of us are either dreaming of holidays in slightly cooler climates or getting through the weekend with at least one body part in the swimming pool. And because it’s always nice to treat oneself, we’re having a little break from weddings and looking at some of the latest swimwear collection from Soleil Boutique.

Now if you don’t already, you absolutely must follow them on instagram ~ I warn you, it will make you want to go on holiday every single day.

The best bit is that everything is available through fashlink online so it’s (far too) easy to add to your summer or honeymoon wardrobe. In fact so much so that I am on the cusp of purchasing the little floral number….

Monochrome with gold

With Fashion Forward taking place this weekend it only felt right to start the week with another ‘Take a Break’ section ~ this time focusing on fashion.

The monochrome look has long been a fashion staple and a personal favourite of mine. Add splashes of gold and you’ve instantly taken your look to another level.

You’re safe to assume that I want everything on this page and even safer to assume that I won’t be getting it all! Oh a girl can dream…..
